In response to significant reductions in government funding for subsidized English as a Second Language (ESL) programs, Heartland International English School is proud to offer a limited number of burseries to Permanent Residents, Refugees, and Canadian Citizens living in Winnipeg who are motivated to improve their English skills for work or study.
While this program is made available through Heartland’s own initiative, space and funding are limited, and applicants are encouraged to apply early.
Eligibility
You must be a Winnipeg resident and permanent resident, Canadian citizen or refugee to apply. You must complete an application and attach a proof of status (PR card, passport, refugee travel document, etc.).
Availability
We have 100 bursaries of $1500 CAD available. These bursaries will be awarded based on financial needs in a first come, first serve based. Only complete application will be considered for this awards.
These bursaries can only be applied to a 10 week intensive course at Heartland Winnipeg, the current price for a 10-week course is $3400. If approved for a bursary award your 10-week course will be $1900 CAD ($3400 CAD – $1500 CAD). An application fee of 125 CAD will be charged after the bursary is approved and your complete application to study at Heartland Winnipeg is entered to the system.
