Medical Insurance Policy

Effective January 1, 2009 all Heartland students must have medical insurance coverage.  Proof of coverage will be required on the student's first day of school.  If proof is not provided, the student will be required to purchase insurance from Heartland.  Heartland offers medical insurance through StudentGuard (www.studentguard.ca) for $2/day.

Refund Policy

  1. Application fees and Homestay placement fees are non-refundable.
  2. If a student authorization is denied, the school will refund all fees (except for application and placement fees).
  3. If a student withdraws (or is dismissed) from the Access Program after the start of his or her program, the school will refund 50% of the tuition fees that have been paid, but not used.
  4. If a student withdraws (or is dismissed) from the Impact or Focus Program after the start of his or her program, the student is not eligible for a refund and cannot transfer the fees to another course.
  5. To apply for a refund, the student must submit a written notice of withdrawal to the school at least two weeks in advance of finishing classes. Please complete and submit a Refund Request Form.
  6. Refunds owing to the students will be paid within 14 days of receiving the written notification of withdrawal.
