Medical Insurance Policy

All Heartland students must have medical insurance coverage.  Proof of coverage will be required on the student's first day of school.  If proof is not provided, the student will be required to purchase insurance from Heartland.  Heartland offers medical insurance through Ingle Insurance (www.inglestudents.com/heartlandenglish) for $2/day.

Effective April 1, 2012, Heartland students studying for 6 months or longer with a valid study permit will be eligible for free Manitoba Health coverage (www.manitoba.ca/health).

Refund Policy

  1. Application fees and Homestay placement fees are non-refundable.
  2. If a student authorization is denied, the school will refund all fees (except for application and placement fees).   Proof of visa rejection must be shown prior to the start of classes.
  3. If a student withdraws (or is dismissed) from the Program after the start of his or her program, the school will refund 50% of the tuition fees that have been paid, but not used.
  4. To apply for a refund, the student must submit a written notice of withdrawal to the school at least two weeks in advance of finishing classes. Please complete and submit a Refund Request Form.
  5. Refunds owing to the students will be paid within 14 days of receiving the written notification of withdrawal.
