What do I do on my first day?

Arrive at Heartland by 8:45am on your first day of school.

You will be introduced to students and staff and given a tour of the school.

You will take a placement test to determine which level you will join. The placement test begins at 9am, and takes approximately 1-hour to complete.

After the placement test, you will be given a school orientation, and taken on a tour of downtown Winnipeg. You will return to school for a lunch break from 12-1pm.

In the afternoon, from 1-3pm, you will be interviewed by a teacher, and your test results will be assessed.

You will be placed in a level and introduced to your teacher and classmates.

You begin classes in your level the following day.

Please bring a pen or pencil, notebook, and dictionary (optional) to school. All other materials will be provided by the school.

You can bring a lunch to school, and use the kitchen facilities.
