The health and safety of everyone at Heartland is our top priority. To continue our efforts to ensure that all staff, teachers and students feel comfortable during this uncertain time, we are taking precautions to meet with the suggestions and protocols set out by Health Canada and the Canadian Government. Both the Winnipeg and Mississauga locations have moved our classes online temporarily.
Heartland students and Teachers are carrying on during this uncertain time in the world with classes online. Our teachers are creating new ways for students to still participate in a class-like setting where a combination of live video lecture, real-time group chat and document sharing is possible. So far we have had a lot of success and this is a great way to keep learning! We are also continuing our cultural activities by virtually offering high value experiences showcasing our local talent like Symphony Orchestra players providing a private concert, Shakespearean actors performing a select piece, a customized virtual art gallery experience, professional chefs offering a cooking lesson using what you have in your fridge and more!
Heartland is also still receiving and accepting applications for new students to begin their studies over the next several weeks. New students will join our online classes after taking an online placement test until we are able to offer in person classes again.
Please keep checking our website for updates on how your new students can apply and study with Heartland.
Heartland Winnipeg and Heartland Mississauga will also suspend walk-in service to students and visitors for the time being, to help limit the number of people in our space and comply with social distancing suggestions. Please know that we are still available to help answer questions and take applications online and by email or over the phone. We are operational, and working on safe solutions to keep offering our high standard of services to our students. We thank you for your continued patience.
