Activities
Winnipeg is a great city to explore. There are year-round festivals, art galleries, museums, theatres, amateur and professional sports, and much, much more.
Heartland organizes weekly activities for the students to use their English in real situations. As well, parties and events outside of class time are arranged, so students can meet other Canadians and make new friends.

Sightseeing
Activities have included Grand Beach, the Fort Whyte Nature Centre, and Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site.
Tours
Students have toured the CBC Television Studio, the Manitoba Legislative Building, and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
Also, weekend tour packages provided by Polar Trails tour company are available. Examples include camping, sailing, polar bear excursions, and Northern Lights (Aurora) adventures.
Sports
Students have participated in golf, curling, 5-pin bowling, soccer, and baseball. As well, students have gone to watch professional baseball and hockey games.
